Internet Explorer: Select the 'Tools' menu, choose 'Internet Options', click the 'Security' tab and then 'Custom Level'. Scroll down until the 'Scripting' section and under 'Active Scripting', select 'Enable' and click OK.

O-Week Checklist

Things to do:

  1. Check you are enrolled in the correct units (check your enrolment advice)
  2. Become familiar with OASIS
  3. Register for classes via eStudent (within OASIS)
  4. Go on a Campus Tour and a Survival @ Your Library Tour
  5. Find out where your classes will be held
  6. Set up your Curtin email address to receive Curtin news and information
  7. Organise your parking permit or public transport route
  8. Plan your semester timetable
  9. Explore Curtin's Student Guid's clubs and associations
  10. Check out the various seminars that were iLectured during orientation

International students need to also:

  1. Contact your family to let them know you have arrived safely
  2. Find permanent accommodation
  3. Apply online to obtain your Overseas Health Cover card
  4. Open a bank account

 

What is O-Week?

All new-to-Curtin students are expected to attend Orientation. It will help you get off to the best start academically and socially.

International Prep Week (for new International students)

  • July 14 to 18, 2008

O Week (for ALL new students)

  • July 21 to 25, 2008
  • Students who have switched courses for Semester 2, 2008 must attend O Week as they are considered new students in that course.
  • Some study areas provide orientation activities for re-enrolling students (i.e. second, third and fourth years). Click on Your Study Area to see if anything is provided for you.
  • Even though you may only be enrolled part-time, you are still expected to attend O Week.
